The meticulously crafted curriculum of the program has been carefully curated with one single objective: Supporting your learning journey towards becoming a 2047.academy Young Global Leader. In consultation with leading higher education experts we have developed four core themes on which the 2047.academy’s Young Global Leaders Program is centered.
Theme 1: Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam – the world is one family
This theme provides the foundation to your leadership journey. It is centered on dignity and the ethical foundations for leadership including ancient Indian wisdom and global citizenship in the spirit of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (เคตเคธเฅเคงเฅเคต เคเฅเคเฅเคฎเฅเคฌเคเคฎเฅ) – the world in one family.
Theme 2: Social development – creating desirable futures
The second theme of the program is introducing some of the cornerstones of social development. Looking at strong institutions promoting our freedom to have choices in life that matter to us, analyzing that a free, cooperative and peaceful society needs equality, diversity and inclusion and providing guidance on self leadership for mental and physical well being.
Theme 3: Economic prosperity – distributional justice and dignified livelihoods
The third theme of the program is developing a meaningful notion of economic prosperity including questions of distribution and decent work. Do we need economic growth and if so why? What is the transformation towards a stakeholder economy? How can we humanize business leadership? Those are but some of the questions addressed in this theme on economic prosperity.
Theme 4: Environmental protection – our planet of abundance
The fourth and closing theme of the program is concerned with protecting the very foundations of life. We live on a planet of abundance and yet we are putting at risk its capacity to support life. We are biting the hand that feeds us and are doing so not in small measures but with brute force and at high speed. So lets waste no time and all do our part to live on a healthy planet again.
